The name of my server is *-EngineServer-* {F4L} {Roleplay>||<Evolved} SN#1,

IP: 65.60.46.21

Port: 27015

Default Map: RP_Amsterville

I started it about a year and a half ago, of coarse then it wasnt much only a source dedicaded on my comp and only supported about 12 ppl, then I finally upgraded to a rented gameserver from gameservers.com, which hey at least i could host 16 ppl, but it was linux, and alot of problems occured, after time and learning, pretty much dedicating my life to DM, I finallly have a 18 Slot Rp server, with custom cmds, and over 120 maps, and its being updated daily.

I hate all the Rp servers on DM, they all use the same scripts and have abusive admins, I took it a step further, and decided no more, starting in a month max a zombie mode which is currently being devolped will be put on our secound server, SN#2, the first zombie mode of its type on DM, not npc zombies, but where the zombies are the players!!!, I cant wait to play zombie survival on Amsterville XD. I hope to see you thier, and I support all your maps smartzeneggar, and hope to see more.

That sounds great!
So this zombie mod features zombie players? why not use zombine instead?
as you know, they where combine, and have granades.
as you also know, zombie's are more like cannon fodder in the original mod, so it might get to booring being a player zombie.
you just have to introduce more features for that caracter to have a more honest battle.
but it sounds great, and good to hear you have all my maps.

you already checked Amsterville_CE out?

The zombie ropeplay will be balanced, Zombies [Rebels], will have the ability to run faster than the survivors, and they have 300 health, thier will be many changes over time. The Survivors [Combine] will have weapon limits, 1 stunstick, pistol with infinite ammo, and a smg with infinite ammo, 2 grenades, 2 slams. Be aware as well that this isnt like the zombie attacks the human trying to kill them, one touch from the zombies crowbar, and the survivors model will change to zombie, a game of tag XD.

Some other neat features will be enhanced blood effects, the zombies will have idle sounds, and possible zombie vision / increased FOV.

Im not the coder XD, not smart enough for that, but i am the designer, im basing this off of css zombie plugin.

So you're the one who comes up with the ideas?
They're very well thought out. Good job.
Only one thing is wrong, when combine becomes zombie, it's called a zombine.
Can you make teams choose 4 teams? zombie, rebel, combine, zombine?
or make 2 modes, zombie vs rebel, and zombine vs combine.
Good idea?

I never thought about the zombine thing, right now im just going to stick with players becoming a regular zombie model, maybe in the future when things are running smooth, ill make some enhacments, like zombine models, maybe even alien vs predator model from css. Thiers only 2 teams, When ppl join the server they get forced to join combine team, and once an admin uses the command egn_infect <player> that player will be forced to the rebel team, which is the zombie team, one of the neat features is that the teams can actaully be renamed by the plugin, so when u go to the Score Menu, it will say Survivor Team, and Zombie Team, instead of Rebel etc.

Right now im struggling with finding a way to get the regular zombie model animations working, the models are pretty much static, they dont have walking actions like the regular player models do, so much stuff dont work in DM, its really hard to get around the bugs.

I did put the Amsterville_CE version on the server, it runs way smoother than the other versions but we dont use it much, Some ups about it was the 2 house additions, and the performance, some downs, the car model in the lobby is not as cool as the other car, it looks to plain. The map is way better off on Mikes Revenge Servers, since the buildng space addition, other than that thier wasnt to much changed, everyone still prefers RP_Amsterville over it.

I don't know much about mod coding and stuff.
but i tried changing models for halflife1, and indeed, missing skeleton movement animations, it just didn't work.
you do know there are zombine models in EP1 yes?

It's good to hear that the version has more pros than cons.
And I never felt it would really replace the original v1.1 like you said.
and that is also the reason its still available for download, its just not a replacing version, never meant to be anyway.
