Apparently after birth, the boy seems like an ugly motherfucker. This causes the father to abandon him for 10 years. 10 years later he really tries to make up being a good father, but he was only designed to do what he does best: Destroy the public trust, kill the innocent and fuckup the law. This scares John and tries to run from his insane father. But in an insane world, it's the sanest choice.
