[quote="*-FearEngine-*"]Thanks for the feedback, :D

I wanted to include 2 more minutes of footage but what I had just
wasn't going to fit in right, not with the music I used anyway. Could
have been done a lot better to :(

Some neat things about it is the change from reverse to forward when
the citizen says "This is where we turn it all around" couldn't pass that up ;)
Plus if you play the video backwards, the first couple scenes make even more sense.

Even though that about 2 years of my work in all honesty, I can make content at a much
faster rate now. I plan on coming out with more videos soon, and after the next video I post i'm
going to get rid of the 1680 resolution and make use of the whole youtube player like I should have
already. Plus I think it may be time to get rid of the Engine Logo, in all honesty it's a dead community
that I still think I have a chance in recovering.

It's either start using that site below as the source of my work or continue using Engine,

I know about video editing how frustrating it can be when you realease one.
When finally released, you see things and want to change em to improve it more and more.
I had this with my Terminator Legend vid on tube, but that one got caught while I almost completed a great update for it. :( (even more fucking annoying)
And yes it matters when things make sence, and when you watch it again you connect these dots and so on, I like that stuff. :)

That high res.? What do you use for capturing? I wonder.
Well I see you already made a choice about the name and domain, you already made a new domain.
But I'm not sure, you might get a bit trouble with the new domain name with Valve...
Too bad there's nothing on it yet...
To me I don't mind, Engine is good too, also reminds you of steam and source at the same time. :)

About my mapping projects, it all on hold.
Sometimes I think about it picking it up again.
But I also have other things lying around in the real world.
That said, it means that when you leave that lying around it stays present, and something digital in virtual environment does not, and does not bother me that much.
So I have to complete that first I guess before I can pick up the old habbits again. :P
And also that very thing will get me a nice new vid on tube eventually when its done.
I hope soon but I'm the one that have to do it.

I thought about the valve copyright issue to, but I figure since it's only a
non-profit fan site that in a sense is only supporting valve they should be nice about it.
For example look at the combine overwiki half-life.wikia.com, and that blackmesa mod site.

Either way, I just want it to be a blog for my work and others.
To answer your question about the capture software, I use fraps
for in game recording, " Luckily my rig can handle it even on max settings "
Then I used Vegas Movie Studio for the effects. The res was at 1680x1050
during capture. Which I really regret, I need a bigger res with different widescreen
setting to use the full extent of youtube. Stretching the 1680 footage would have
made it look wrong.

Yes I think the same way about it too, they should not bitch so much.
We're actually making our own kind and way of adds to inspire people, that might buy the game if interested.
While that is not our intend, this way its a way more at ease of comercial, because the comercial comercials are so forcive and stupid.
If you catch my drift...

Anyway, I see you're a real HD master now.
I honestly don't realy care about the resolution of the vids on youtube, as long as the quality is good or good enough.
But it's good to offer all sizes to get the max out of the tube.

Fraps, right, I could have known.
I'm actually looking for a good opensource one that works just as well... You know any?
I guess Fraps make these people stop looking for such.

Sadly I don't know any other programs, I bought the full version of fraps like 2 years ago.
You could always use Source Recorder, but I hate that, it's a pain in the ass considering the
software programs to edit the footage don't support the format it creates.

I've heard of game recorder and bandicam being other capture programs but most
people use them because they don't have a good enough rig for fraps I guess.

Oh thanks for the info, I'll have them a go then. :)
My rig is fast enough, but its not like fraps shoud be first choice right?
