I, Spacew00t, made RP_HomeTown2000, Not F.Kalkman. F.Kalkman made RP_HomeTown1996 & RP_HomeTown1999.

After receiving confirmation from Kalkman that I could continue on with his series I remade all of Hometown from scratch. Do not confuse this with the crap GMC version with the cruddy dance club and such. I hope this sequel to the famed RP_HomeTown1999 brings the spirit back into HomeTown Roleplay. I also hope my version can do the series some justice to the map, considering the massive amount of damage that Roleplay communities have done by decompiling and digging their dirty teeth into it.

Enough ranting and more screens eh? Alright.

That's a fucking lie and you know it. If that was true you would have made it work in hl2dm as well. You don't deseve to get any credit for the hometown name, series, whatever.

So go ahead and make all your maps crash if it tries to load in hl2dm.... I won't be hosting any of them.

ok, i seen it now in 3d on mikes server.
i still think a bit the same about it, but it has some good things added.
but why o why does it have to be 92MB????
can you tell me where you all got that custom and counterstrike model set from?
and how did you add it to the bsp file?
winbspzip doesn't work anymore, so how do you do it?
write a superbig .txt file with 4 times a path per file???
i wonder...

(this is me needing your help. just answer these questions. thank you.)

Jeezz!!!
now i know why the file is 92mb
thanks to pakrat it shows you embeded all content.
even all content which is part of HL2DM which makes no sence what so ever!
92MB bsp map file is a big problem!

Mike was being bitchy and made his own hl2dm version without permission by illegally zipping up all the css content in with it. That is why the one he runs is 92 megabytes.

I don't actually believe that that is from scratch, I mean, we've seen people manage to decompile it before havent we?

I think this is just Hometown 1999 with some minor edits.

no, i ve seen it in game.
it does crash hl2dm sometimes :S
but i thougth its the otherway, its not build from scratch, but he decompiled and almost deleted everthing exept a few things.
like the ground and parts of walls etc. (to keep the size of the map the same)
but it would have been a lot more appreciated if he really build it from scratch.
also, i build mine in a few weeks, he took 6 months (or so he claims) with a whole team to develop it.
most of the design didn't change, its more like its still mine.
the biggest part that did change, like the bank (that corner) looks like its taken out of a really noobish map. (no offence) :P
just give me the snail gas station!

1999 is great. i use it for comics, or for just having npc's mindlessly kill eachother n the streets. :D
I Would Love a night version of hometown1999 for zombie things. and winter would be good.

:D! Winter + Night = Great. It'd Be Like theopposite of the time of day and season of hometown_1999
